Each consumable sells for 40% of its shop price.
With exception to equipment that requires no materials, all purchaseable equipment comes in limited stock. The shop stockpiles the materials you sell to it, and every time you purchase or forge equipment, its material cost will be deducted from the stockpile. Depleting the shop's stock of required materials will make the associated equipment inaccessible until you sell more copies of the material to the shop.
