EO3/North Sea/Marine City of Sheba

The Marine City of Sheba had cut its relations to other countries. Though the new sea lane has reopened communication, the monster-filled whirlpool is a threat. -Sea Quest Description

The Marine City of Sheba is the first point of interest you can find upon setting foot in the North Sea. Hit up the 2nd Foothold Geomagnetic Pole, and access to this city becomes a lot more convenient.

You must have reached the 2nd Foothold in the North Sea. There are two ways to reach Sheba from there.

This route requires a 20-turn ration. Do not use the Foremast.

  1. Sail east four times. Sail north and ride the current.
  2. Sail east one time, north 3 times, circumventing the reef. Sail west one time, north two times from the reef, then west onto the westward current. The island in front of you contains Cacao, don't forget to get it if you haven't already.
  3. South one time, east one time, south three times then west two times. You reach the Marine City of Sheba.

This route requires an 8-turn ration but you also need the Naval Iron Plating to sail through seaweed. That part can be obtained by reaching the Giant's Ruins.

  1. From the 2nd Foothold, sail east three times, north two times, and east two times over the seaweed to reach the city.

If you want to get to Sheba straight from Armoroad and hit up the 2nd Foothold in one trip, you need a 16-turn ration, and both the Foremast and Naval Iron Plating.

  1. From Armoroad, sail north four times, then east once into the seaweed. Sail north four times again past the pirate ship, and east once to hit up the Geomagnetic Pole.
  2. Sail east, north, and east again. You can't reach Sheba directly since you will overshoot it. Instead, sail north onto the current and let it displace you.
  3. Sail south, then east. You'll be right at the city's doorstep.

A guard will come to greet you and offer Frankincense as a token of appreciation to re-establish trade relations with Armororad. The harbormaster will reward you with the Salted Meat as well as 1500en. The meat is a 24-turn ration, extending your range of exploration.

Sidequest

Once you've reached Sheba, return to the place and speak with the soldier at the port. He'll ask you to retrieve some Rock Silver which was stolen by pirates east of Ayutthaya. Sink the red pirate ship on the northeast border of the South Sea to claim the goods, and deliver them to earn the Trawling Net and two 1000-En Coins.

Sea Quests

Sea Quests taking place at Sheba involve a boss fight against Corotrangul. Unlike other Sea Quest bosses before it, Corotrangul will call forth minions to make the fight more challenging.

Defeating Corotrangul for the first time unlocks the Absolute Zero Limit Skill in place of the usual reward.

The 100-year grudge

I'm Laura, from the ocean city. A hundred years ago, my ancestor was summoned by the queen of Sheba.
That's when the Calamity struck... And I believe he lost his life fighting the monsters there.
Please take me to Sheba so I can defeat that monster and avenge my ancestor!

Companion:

  • Laura: (Level 38 Hoplite, front row)

Don't expect Laura to do any defending. She'll constantly strike at the boss with Blitzritter nonstop, only stopping to drink an Amrita II (which she carries three of) or Shrug Off any binds. Bring your own defenses.

Completing this quest for the first time gets you Laura's Armor (Heavy Armor, 57 DEF, )

Fishy currents

Thanks to the explorers who opened up the route to Sheba, we can fish in a wider area now.
In fact, thanks to the currents out of the Sheba area, I hear you can pull up some pretty rare fish.
As a fisherman, I can hear the call of the sea. Can you guard me so I can fish in peace?

Companions:

Tokashiki wields a gun, Ouha a rapier. Tokashiki will assault the boss and its minions with Rapid Fire or Pincushion, while Ouha uses Chase Thrust to follow up on his companion. You can bring your own sources of stab damage to further synergize with Ouha's Chase skill, or have someone with Prevent Order so that the Bolt Strikers can't panic the party when they die.

Completing this quest for the first time gets you Tokashiki's Gun (Gun, 72 ATK, ).

The weight of love

I've heard tales of the Queen of Ripples' beauty, and thus, I have decided to marry her!
She told my messenger that if I can present the head of the monster in their waters, she will accept!
I summon forth all able-bodied warriors! If you wish to attend our wedding, aid me!

Companions:

Mito has three Medica IIs and an Amrita II. Skaide only has an Amrita. Kirks has three Amrita IIs.

Mito has Attack Order, but he'll focus on enchanting his bodyguard with Fire Arms before unleashing it on the boss with Regal Radiance. Skaide has a full-strength Anticold to negate the ice attacks going around, and can guard anyone who might be targeted by Coil. Kirks sweeps the minions with Binary Fire and Fire Star and will switch to Volt Star if the boss decides to cover its weakness. Round off the party with your choice of healer and/or damage.

Completing this quest for the first time gets you Mito's Falchion (Sword, 86 ATK, )
